At the end of a line of telegraph poles beside a public footpath on the South side of a bend in the access road to Vilner Farm. 150 yards North of A38.
OPEN All surface features remain although the ventilation shaft is reduced almost to ground level. The hatch is wedged open and there is a large concrete block wedged down the shaft to prevent access. One side of the compound fencing still stands in the undergrowth alongside the footpath. The site is heavily overgrown.
2010 The concrete block has now been removed. The monitoring room is completely stripped with only twin bunks remaining. The room is flooded to a depth of 6”
Opened in 1962 and closed in 1968.
