In a rectangular compound with a generous sized lay-by for parking on the West side of Rock Lane. There is one telegraph pole alongside the compound.
LOCKED all surface features remain intact and set close to the ground. The green paint is in good condition. A dome and aerial bracket on the ventilation shaft indicates this was a master post. The FSM pipe has another pipe, also painted green, over the top of it making the connection of the baffle plates impossible. There is another pipe, also painted green, sticking out of the ground next to the access shaft. It is 3' in length and of unknown use. A Chief Observer at the post worked for the local council and arranged the construction of the large lay-by.
Opened in 1965 and closed in 1991.
