Around 100m long tunnel, around 6m high, abandoned since the Beeching cuts. The tunnel was part of the Barnstaple to London railway line. The A361 reused the original Castle Hill viaduct pillars the train once used. The tunnel itself is on private land, very wet, dripping, and has an eerie drone. Pheasant shooting takes place in the area, so you have to be careful. I last visited and took the photos 28th April 2022.
