On a low mound in a square compound on open ground behind a bungalow in the middle of a housing estate.
LOCKED The mound is covered in pieces of slate. All surface features remain intact although one of the louvres on the ventilation shaft adjacent to the access shaft is detached. The hatch is locked but can be opened with a Scottish ‘T bar’ key. Internally remaining artefacts includes the table, shelf, cupboard, BPI mount, FSM probe rod, cluster map, box of ROC magazines, battery box, large splint, small splint, rope, 9 Jerry cans, pick axe, dustpan, spade, two lights and the visitors log.
WWII Aircraft Post was at NM 74259 17655 which is on the summit of Dun Mor, reported to be a ruin but not been up to check.
Opened in 1960 and closed in 1991.

ROC post is now OPEN all surface features still remain intact with flanking green paint, the BPI ( Bomb Power Indicator ) mount is still intact. The Ventilation louvers are still intact at the Ventilation shaft, but are detached adjacent to the access shaft. The original fence and telegraph pole still stand. The hatch is very rusty and difficult to get open, one part of the counter weight has rusted solid as well. Internally, some items still remain which include: Cupboard, table, rope, light bulb, stands for the beds, shovel, Chemical toilet, 9 jerry cans, Visitors log, Bottle, Some documents and paper’s, cluster map, carpet, battery box, and 1 bucket. The post is in good condition for a 1991 shut down.
