In a square compound on Whitton Hill straddling field boundary, 250 yards West of A697.
LOCKED All surface features remain intact. The access shaft has been rendered and painted khaki but the rendering is now falling off in places. The hatch is locked, although the padlocks have been cut off it is locked internally and cannot be opened with a ‘T’ bar key. There is a single telegraph pole in trees close to a minor road to the South; from this point the line goes underground.
Opened in 1960 and closed in 1991.
