In undergrowth on the north side of Glengilp Road opposite a house.
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the green paint. A metal dome and wooden board on the ventilation shaft for mounting an aerial indicates this was a master post. The ventilation shaft stands on a concrete plinth. The hatch is locked. The site is very overgrown.
November 2014: The site is now even more overgrown.
Opened in 1960 and closed in 1991.
The ROC post is still LOCKED all surface features still remain intact with flanking green paint, the post is very overgrown and Is hard to get to, the Ventilation louvers are still intact. The original telegraph pole still stands. The BPI ( Bomb Power Indicator) mount is still intact. The hatch now has 2 heavy duty metal locks on each side of the hatch, the hatch is probably also locked on a Scottish ‘T’ bar key as well. The post is in good condition.
