In a small rectangular compound at the end of a line of telegraph poles. 40 yards north of a field boundary and 150 yards west of B727.
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the dark green paint in good condition. A metal dome on the ventilation shaft indicates this was a master post. The dome and GZI mount are painted white. The hatch is locked. In the north west corner of the compound there is an underground fuel store with a hinged metal lid.
Half a mile to the south west at NX697503 there is an Orlit A on a hilltop close to a communications mast. There are some compound fence posts lying on the ground around it and some erosion of the soil beneath it. There is a short section of metal ladder identical to an underground post ladder inside, the remaining section is the length that would protrude above the surface in an underground post. This could indicate a demolished underground post at this site although none is listed in official records.
Opened in 1964 and closed in 1991.
