Small four chambered public air raid shelter located on the High Street roundabout in Keighley, opposite the Albert Hotel. The four legs are laid out in a rectangle and from its size this may have been notionally a 200 person shelter.
The shelter is lined with precast concrete and has then been reinforced by the addition of a lightweight steel angle box frame
Its post-war survival may be down to its tasteful stone walled entrance which enhances the roundabout’s appearance.
