On a low mound on the southern edge of Downpatrick Golf Course close to a cellphone mast.
SEALED All surface features remain intact. During it’s operational life the access and ventilation shafts have both been armoured with a steel sleeve around each shaft. The hatch is welded shut. The post closed by 1987 for security reasons. Ardglass was refurbished and re-opened to replace it.
Opened in 1960 and closed by 1987.
