In a heavily overgrown compound on the north side of a farm access road, next to covered reservoir.
The ventilation shaft has gone. The BPI and FSM pipes are extant as is the access shaft which still has much of its green paint. The hatch is detached and the ladder is cut off four feet from the top of the shaft. The top section of the ladder, the hatch and the counterbalance weight are lying in the undergrowth. Internally the post is flooded to a depth of 9”. The monitoring room has been completely stripped apart from the BPI mount.
An Orlit B stands in trees at the edge of the compound, close to the reservoir
Opened in 1961 and closed in 1968.
