In a square compound on the North side of Osier Lane near a ‘Z’ bend in the road and South of the radio mast. The compound is within the grounds of a former WW2 Chain Home radar station.
LOCKED The compound is tended and in good condition. All surface features are intact but the paint is beginning to flake. The hatch is locked.
An aircraft observation position consisting of a step up to a concrete plinth with railings round two sides stands in one corner of a compound.
Opened in 1960 and closed in 1991.
