In a wooded strip on the West side of a track to Sacrewell Farm, 50 yards North of A47 and close to cellphone aerial.
OPEN All surface features remain intact but the FSM pipe is lying on the ground and the hatch is damaged. The hatch is open. Internally the post is badly vandalised and is a mess. The bed is in pieces and the table and shelf are lying on the floor. some wiring remains. The post was home to a local tramp for several months in the 1970’s.
A brick concrete aircraft observation building consisting of a rectangular covered room with an open roofed room behind it stands in the woods a few yards to the North.
Opened in 1962 and closed in 1968.
