At the end of a line of telegraph poles, in an overgrown rectangular compound in the East side of B4204 just South of entrance drive to Salford Court Farm on the opposite side of the road.
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with the light green paint flaking badly. A metal dome on the ventilation shaft indicates this was a master post. The BPI pipe stands on a concrete plinth. The padlocks have been cut off but the internal lock has rusted solid and won’t open.
Opened in 1962 and closed in 1991.
