Amongst conifer trees on the west side of a farm track, 20 yards north of an un-named minor road.
OPEN All surface features remain intact with the green paint in good condition as the post has been screened from the weather by the trees. The wooden ventilation louvres are also still in place and in good condition. The step consists of a concrete slab across bricks. The hatch is open but held down with the original locking bar. Internally there is 2" of water on the floor. Remaining artefacts include the table, shelf, cupboard, post battery in its box, BPI mount, two GPO dry cells, GPO junction box and wiring and some soggy papers.
Opened in 1960 and closed in 1968.
