In a small wood on the south side of Hungerford Lane.
OPEN The site is heavily overgrown and wooded. All surface features remain intact but the ventilation louvres are missing and the step up to the access shaft is lying on its side. The hatch is open. Internally only the bunks and single bed remain intact. The battery lies in pieces on the floor as does the rest of the furniture and the internal doors.

Reported by Charles Came that the shaft is full of mud and asbestos
Opened in 1961 and closed in 1968.

The hatch is open, shaft is 5ft deep in asbestos just leaving a two foot gap to crawl through. Then inside there is lots more builders' rubbish, the bunker is surprisingly good condition, not flooded or damp,
I believe the owners of the land are Haines Hill Trust & they are not interested
at all in selling or letting anyone restore the Post. Apparently they have turned others down so that is that, which is a shame as it has got lots of potential,
