The post was situated on the north side of a footpath, 150 yards north of High Street (A64) and 30 yards west of a small wood. A factory now stands on the site.
DEMOLISHED No trace of anything. The post was demolished about 1988 when the factory was built.
Opened in 1959 and closed in 1968.
Despite the site getting destroyed when they built the factory, they covered the hole in the ground until 2002/3 when it was filled with concrete. I was a concrete technician for Hanson and tested the concrete that filled the hole.
