In a rectangular compound 100 yards east side of A525 on the north side of a field boundary.
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the dark green paint. There is some damage to the concrete on the ventilation shaft adjacent to the access hatch. The compound is built out from the side of a hill and has concrete slabs on the down side to prevent soil erosion. The hatch is locked. Internally the post has been completely stripped of almost everything, even the two internal doors have been ripped off and removed. All that remains is a BT junction box and wiring and a notice on the wall. There is a small covered pit within the compound this would have been used as a store for two fuel cans. The post was sold in August 2003.
Opened in 1965 and closed in 1991.
