In Druridge Bay Country Park
DEMOLISHED DEMOLISHED No trace of anything. The roads and area around the post was swept away by opencast mining by the NCB and RGB Mining in the 1970. The area has now been landscaped as Druridge Bay Country Park. The site of the post has been completely lost.
Opened in 1961 and closed in 1968.
I believe the location of the Redrow ROC is mapped in the wrong location. I have arrowed in yellow the exact location of the Redrow bunker (unless this was an additional post not previously known to yourselves). I am 100% certain of the location as I remember going in it shortly after it was built on farmland managed by my Grandad. I also have grainy pictures of it before it was destroyed by opencast mining.
