On a low mound on the East side of a field boundary and North side of a public footpath 200 yards West from Llewelyn Street (B4406)
SEALED There is some soil erosion of the mound. Most surface features remain in place although in poor condition. The top of the ventilation shaft adjacent to the access shaft is lying on the ground and the shaft itself is damaged. All ventilation louvres are missing and the holes are covered with steel sheets. The step is broken and the BPI pipe is missing. The hatch is welded shut with its original locking bar still in place. The original access gate, now wired shut, is still in place in the fencing alongside the footpath.
Opened in 1963 and closed in 1968.
