In wooded compound on the south side of un-named road between Netherhall Farm & Fletching Mill Farm.
OPEN The access shaft is in fair condition, the ventilation shaft is in poor condition with the top and louvres missing. The hatch is open. Internally there is water to a depth of 1 foot. The only furniture remaining is two bunk beds and a single bed. There is some graffiti and signs of other vandalism. When visited in 2002 Duncan Booth reported part of hatch weight mechanism broken (the part that bolts to the hatch, that slides and holds the hatch open) and the hatch is now very heavy to open. The door to the monitoring room is detached and laying at an angle against the wall, badly rotten at the bottom. The complete hand pump and pipe work right up to the top has been removed and lays on the ground, and the pipe section outside has been cut through.
Opened in 1965 and closed in 1968.
