The entrance to the tunnel appears to be off Llanbadarn Road up a road that runs past a NHS building.
It has been pointed out that the NHS building could have been asssociated with the tunnel - right sort of period, loading / unloading bay and an foorway leading to the road up to the tunnel.
Caroline Shenton’s book ‘National Treasures’ has an oblique aerial photograph that shows the entrance without any tree cover.

The tunnel entrance is now very overgrown and the adjacent two buildings have almost been engulfed. They were probably a generator and possibly a heating system to keep the tunnels dry. Aberystwyth was not connected to the grid until the 1950s and only had a local power station.
