On hilltop in the South East corner of a field, 100 yards West of public footpath and 150 yards North of A370
SEALED All surface features remain intact with a little soil erosion leaving the ventilation shaft standing on three courses of bricks. The BPI pipe is bent over level with the ground and all the ventilation louvres are missing. The concrete apron around the access hatch is cracking and the step has pulled away. The access shaft is capped with 5" of concrete. All the concrete fence posts from the compound lie in two piles nearby. The post and surrounding land is owned by Bristol University and is part of the Long Ashton Agricultural Research Site. all the land is sue to be sold in 2003 for residential housing. The post will probably be demolished at this time
