In a rectangular compound on a pastoral hilltop, 120 yards North of the junction of A65 and B6254 spur (almost under power lines).
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the green paint. A metal dome on the ventilation shaft indicates that this was a master (radio) post. A painted concrete block with a hole in the middle, close to the FSM pipe, is probably an aerial mounting. The hatch is locked.
Opened in 1965 and closed in 1991.
