In bushes between two pastoral field (in the corner), 200 yards North of un-named minor road.
OPEN All surface features remain intact, the ventilation louvres are missing and the hatch is damaged and won’t shut. There is a little water on the floor. The internal doors, table and shelf have been detached and are lying against the wall. The cupboard has been smashed and tiles pulled off the walls by vandals. One bed remains in place. The post looks a mess. From its operational days there is a notice on the wall which reads ‘Please keep post tidy!’ Closed 1973 (When closed in 1973 the nearby post at Wigton was re-opened).
