North East of the Cateran Trail, North West of East Mill Farm.
July 2015
Previously thought to have been demolished
It was found after some information was sent to Sub Brit that the post has not been demolished. It was not at the AWR location of NO 221 605 but North West of there at NO 21930 60654.
Opened in 1957 and closed in 1968.

I unexpectedly came across this ROC post whilst walking on holiday yesterday. It is still extant, but the ventilation louvers and access hatch are looking a lot sorrier for themselves than in the 2015 photos! I’ve attached some photographs for reference.

As of February 2023 there is a dead animal in the bunker so I wouldn’t recommend going in or if you are to tell the owners of the farm while you are there so they can remove it.

The ROC post is now unlocked with flaking green paint on the hatch. The hatch is put the wrong way around but still can be opened. On the exterior the post is in fair condition and the BPI (Bomb Power Indicator) mount is still intact with the original louvres also still hanging on.
On the inside the post is stripped with only few artefacts remaining wich include chemical toilet, folding table, batteries, fuses, stands for the beds wich are removed, bottle, and the wood to hold up the wires. Also inside the post was the original lock from the hatch,
Otherwise the ROC post is in fair condition and not bad for a 1968 shut down.
