Situated in the basement of the Friern Barnet Town Hall is a WW2 ARP HQ later on upgraded and converted into a local borough control in the Cold War.
The bunker main access was within the Town Hall down some steps into the basement with a escape hatch outside the building near to the path.
In recent years the Town Hall has been redeveloped into luxury housing.
