On public open ground near WW2 BCP and Martello Tower
WELDED. Externally in good condition but no access is possible to the interior as the lid is welded shut. All surface features remain intact. The post was closed in the 60’s as the site was considered unstable with erosion of the nearby cliffs. It was replaced by a new post in Crete Road West overlooking Channel Tunnel terminal.
Opened in 1961 and closed in the 1960s.
