120 yards South of a public footpath and 300 yards West of Station Road
OPEN The pipes and the ventilation shaft has been demolished. The access shaft is damaged with the hatch missing with the adjacent ventilation shaft reduced virtually to ground level. Although the shaft is open it is filled with rubble to within three feet of the top.
On a mound a few yards to the East is the concrete base of an aircraft post.
Opened in 1964 and closed in 1991.
