LOCKED All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the blue/grey paint. The hatch is locked internally but can be opened with a Scottish ‘T’ bar key. The wooden louvers on the ventilation shaft are in good condition but the metal louvers adjacent to the access shaft are unpainted and rusting badly. Internally remaining artefacts include the table, shelf, cupboard, visitors log, twin bunks (dismantled), BPI mount, mirror, chair, battery table, 16 plastic Jerry cans, two mattresses. There are two windows painted on the wall, one at the bottom of the shaft and the other at the back of the toilet recess. These show seascapes through the window frames These were painted by Leading Observer Albert Lawrie
