On the West side of farm track 50 yards south of Culford Road.
The post is intact but was covered in soil about 1978 to stop children playing in it. With the owners position (the late Roy Stenett), the site was excavated and the hatch was found at a depth of 15" and was open. The ladder is missing so access was gained using an electron caving ladder. Internally the post is a mess with the floor littered with rubble and rubbish. The table and shelf are smashed and the cupboard is lying on its face. One ventilation louvre also lies on the floor. The post was built back to front. The hatch has now been covered over again to prevent further access.
The aircraft post (now demolished) was on the opposite side of the farm track.
Opened in 1960 and closed in 1968.
