OPEN All surface features remain intact, it’s green paint is in good condition. When visited in 1997 the post was locked but in January 2003 it was found to be open.
A brick building stands in bushes between the underground post and the road. This aircraft post probably dates from the war. The entrance is bricked up.
Opened in 1961 and closed in 1991.

The post compound is extremely over grown to where crawling in necessary to even look at where the post is! A massive concrete block however is placed on top the shaft as of 2021 so access is not available.
The Orlit is open and in good condition internally with next to no damage.
