On a low mound in a square compound. Close to the perimeter track of former airfield, 200 yards South East of Malmesbury Road (B4040). Accessed from farm track running South alongside the Foresters Arms pub. (This is a private track with threats of regular dog patrols).
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the creamy green paint. The hatch is securely locked with four padlocks. The old airfield is now owned by English Nature who hope to pen this site to the public in 2003. It is planned to use the ROC bunker as a bat hibernaculum. All the ventilation louvres were in place in 1999 but by 2002 one was missing.
Opened in 1962 and closed in 1991.
