Bletchley Standby Control was built in 1967 and was located in the basement of Bletchley Fire station admin block on Sherwood Drive. The Bunker only provided Fallout protection and no blast protection. In more recent years the Bunker found use as a Firemans Gym then in 2021 the above ground Building was Demolished leaving a raised square concrete Block below, this being the Standby Control.
It is unclear as to whether the Bunker has been infilled or just sealed off, however it is inevitable that the site will be redeveloped eventually likely leading to its full demolition.
