The post is unlocked and easily opened. It is in good condition inside, with papers and documents still legible. Mould has grown all over the chairs and has started on the papers.
The ROC Post is still open with flaking green paint on the hatch. Externally the post is in good condition with the BPI (Bomb Power Indicator) mount still intact. Inside the post much remains including; the original table, the wooden cupboard with a kettle, tea pot, light bulbs and the stands for the bed which are removed. The sump pump is also intact. I also noticed some papers and documents which are marked ‘Her Majesty’s Service’ but mould has started growing on the papers so I didn’t open them. There is also a still intact asbestos fire blanket which is in good condition. There is also mould starting to take over the chairs and on the walls, the post is also very damp with water on the wall. Overall the ROC post is in good condition and not bad for a 1991 shut down.
