An inner circle
train awaits departure at Partick Station in March 2006. The outer circle
is on the other side of the pillars. From Partick, inner circle trains
go up a short incline and the summit is marked by the empty chamber
of the former Merkland Street station, before descending below the Clyde
to Govan. Partick Station replaced Merkland Street.
