Catford A WW2 protected Railway Control Centre still stands
in the station car park. The building is a rectangular windowless concrete blockhouse.
It is now used to store spare parts by Railtrack contractors. It has a dog leg
air lock at each end with steel gas tight doors. Inside one side is a large rectangular
room running the length of the building. There is a central spine corridor with
smaller rooms along the right hand side. Internally there are no original features
remaining apart from the doors.
