| Location | In an overgrown square compound 50 yards south west of the junction of A836 and B873. (The compound has a North of Scotland Water Authority sign referring to the site as Altnaharra Service Reservoir). |
| Description | LOCKED All surface features are intact with some flaking of the cream paint. The hatch is very rusty but locked, it can be opened with a Scottish 'T' bar key. Internally the post is in very good condition with much remaining including table, shelf, cupboard, rack of wooden shelves behind the door, food tins, (apple desert, evaporated milk, pineapple slices, sugar, salt, pepper, 2 X macaroni cheese, meatballs in gravy, spaghetti shells, spaghetti Bolognese, beans, lentils), can of grease, toilet paper, fly spray, first aid poster, papers referring to Operation Intex 90, post log, visitors book, letter referring to ROC aircraft recognition competition 1990, GZI forms, pens and pencils, rubber gloves, a key labeled 'surface shelter', kitchen utensils, 3 Jerry cans, '18 post' broom, UKWMO food pack (3 men one day), large splint, 4 sets of blue ROC overalls, paint pot and locking bar. There is a non standard shelf built round the battery area. There is a disused telegraph pole in the corner of the compound. |
