| Location | On pastoral land 25 yards West of the track to Holly Hill Farm, 100 yards North of The Ridgeway. |
| Description | DEMOLISHED A low mound with a depression in the ground is the only evidence of the site. The owner excavated the site on the 30th July 2000 and discovered the roof of the monitoring room had been smashed in and the room filled with rubble and soil. He cleared the room out with a mechanical digger and dug the access shaft by hand revealing part of the original ladder still in place. Other artifacts found include one sliding ventilation door from the bottom of one of the ventilation shafts and the FSM pipe complete with blanking plate. The concrete shell of the monitoring room was found to be externally lined with brick, it has been suggested this was the shuttering. Had the room been intact a manhole cover would have been fitted to the shaft but as the room has been largely destroyed the hole was immediately backfilled and the land leveled. |
