Location Beside a public footpath on National Trust land close to the cliff edge at the end of the track on Nare Head.
Description LOCKED All surface features remain intact and in excellent condition painted glossy khaki/green. The hatch is locked and secured with an iron bar and four padlocks. The grass around the post is mown. In October 1995 the Truro branch of the Royal Observer Corps Association took out a lease on the post and have now preserved and equipped it as an example of a fully operational ROC post of the cold war era, the only one so preserved in the South West. The post is open to the public by arrangement and on specially designated open days.

The base of the wartime aircraft post still survives at SW913388 on Carne Beacon. The Truro ROCA keep the remains cleared and open for inspection.
