| Remaining Surface Structures |
An aircraft observation post consisting of a grassed area surrounded by grey painted railings stands in the north east corner of the compound. A few yards to the south of the aircraft post a second 'bunker' has been constructed, with a raised grassed mound with two ventilation pipes on top visible. This was apparently constructed by ROC members during operational days as an exercise in shelter building. It was later used as a secondary store but was very damp. It was constructed without official authorisation although HQ did know about it and turned a blind eyes so long as it didn't breach the main post structure. |
