| Description | LOCKED To the south of former Ford Airfield. In a square compound defined by concrete posts in one corner of a large concreted area that forms a storage yard at the rear of the Tarmac Topbloc works. A line of telegraph poles along the edge of the works terminates at the spot. Description: LOCKED Most of the compound is concrete, as is the surrounding works, both were probably part of the former airfield. All surface features remain intact although part of the top of the ventilation shaft has broken off and the step is detached. The hatch is locked. Internally the following items remain: table, shelf, cupboard, wall cupboard, rack of paper trays, fuse box, FSM probe gaskets, posters, bucket, small splint, log book, BPI mount, FSM mount and a small shelf in the toilet recess. The internal hatch lock is missing. The post was open when first visited in 1997, it has now been locked and is due to been sold in 2003. |
