| Description | SEALED. In a small compound within older earlier compound. Externally the condition is fair with all surface features intact although vandalised with paint. Internally the post is a mess and badly vandalised. There is a battery and some BT equipment in place. The beds are gone but two rubber mattresses dated 1960 remain. Some of the wooden furniture has been broken up and lies amongst a large pile of rubbish, not all of it from the post. When visited in the Spring of 1997 the post was open, in July 1998 the shaft top was surrounded by wooden shuttering and capped with concrete. |
