| Description | OPEN. All surface features are intact. In good external condition considering the exposed location and early closure, still retaining original green paint. Internally stripped with dismantled bunks, table and carpet stored in the toilet recess. On land owned by Clean Away Ltd. who discourage visits due to an on-going dispute with local residents over a planning application. Closed in 1976 when the nearby Herne Bay post was re-opened. Sept 2009 Reported that now in public land, called the Victory Park. Now insecure because the hinges have rusted. |
