|Description||WELDED All surface features are intact with some flaking of the dark green paint. The hatch is welded shut.
Carlisle 51 Post - Threlkeld
|A dry stone built two storey aircraft observation building stands to the North (NY3082124400). The building is 10’ X 6’ by 9’ high. There is a door in the lower East wall giving access to the crew quarters. Access to the upper storey was by external wooden steps which are now lying on the ground. The open roofed upper storey has an internal brick lining with a brick dividing wall making two rooms, one 3’ X 6’ and the other 6’ X 6’. A wooden door lies on the floor. A wooden hut next to the building, now used as a chicken coup might be connected.
