| Description | LOCKED All surface features remain intact. There is some damage to the concrete around the hatch where one of the padlock hasps has been forced off. The hatch was open when visited in 2001 but has now been secured with a padlock and chain. Internally there is smoke and fire damage to the shaft and toilet recess but no damage to the monitoring room. Remaining artifacts include the table, shelf, cupboard, 4 original folding canvas chairs, one other chair, three mattresses, cargo net, battery fuse box, fire blanket box, BPI mount, mirror, light, BT junction boxes, paper rack, various papers and forms, magazines, 2 pairs of Wellington boots, dart board, plastic bowl, broom, dustpan/brush and a poster of Concorde. The post was sold in 2003 as part of a sale of 50 posts that were owned by a cellphone company. Although the post is locked little has changed externally since the 2003 visit. |

A small brick building nearby probably has no connection with the ROC. There is also an ant-tank barrier cylinder and a modern air navigation beacon nearby. |
