A two storey stone tower (10' X 10') with a concrete walkway around it half way up stands on a headland at SH27624198. The doorway has been bricked up. A mounting for something is visible protruding from the roof. A golf club official said the building was an ROC post built in the 1950's. This site is not mentioned in Attack Warning Red and maybe a disused coastguard lookout. There is some evidence that the front of the upper storey was once open but has now been bricked up and painted. |
