| OS Grid Reference | SN41590641 |
| County | Carmarthenshire |
| Date opened | June 1960 |
| Date closed | September 1991 |
| Location | In an overgrown rectangular compound at the top of the cutting of the Kidwelly by-pass and on the west side of a field boundary. |
| Description | OPEN The new by-pass came close to cutting through the post but just missed it and the post remains perched on top but hidden from the road. All surface features remain intact with bad flaking of the paint. A metal dome on the ventilation shaft indicates this was a master post. The top of the access shaft has been rebuilt with a new larger hatch fitted. The hatch is open. Internally the post is very damp with some water on the floor. Much however still remains including, cupboard, table, shelf, chair, plastic stool, 3 Jerry Cans (2 full), cluster map, battery box, battery switching box, visitors log, numerous other papers, kitchen sink with draining board, circular weather chart, two boxes of printing out paper, fire blanket with box (detached), notices, light, wiring, small splint, copper straps, coax cable for radio, kitchen utensils, kettle, teapot, cleaning materials and BPI mount. The post is a mess. The post has been built back to front. |
