Location On a low mound at the end of a ridge, 60 yards South West of an Orlit B aircraft post and 200 yards North of A487.
Description OPEN There is some erosion of the mound leaving the ventilation shaft standing on four courses of bricks. All surface features remain intact although the hatch is partly detached and the step is broken. Some green paint remains. Internally the post is in very good condition with twin bunks and the single bed remaining complete with three mattresses. There is a cupboard and a non standard instrument table. There is no evidence that the standard table and shelf have ever been there with no holes in the walls for the supports. GPO wiring and connection boxes also remain. All the wood is painted bright blue and the toilet door is detached. There is some cracking in the end wall below the sliding ventilation door.
An Orlit B on unusually high stilts (8') stands 60 yards to the North East at the end of a lone line of telegraph poles that still support the telephone cables. (SN67719467). Added support has been given by placing bricks around the concrete legs. GPO connection boxes and wiring remain inside and the wooden instrument table is complete.
