OS Grid Reference NT94775839
County Berwickshire
Date opened February 1960
Date closed September 1991
Location In the middle of an arable field beside radio aerial and trig. station, 400 yards south of un-named minor road and 400 yards SE of Habchester Fort (ancient monument).
Description LOCKED The post is used to house radio equipment. All surface features remain intact with the green paint flaking badly and the hatch is locked. When visited in 1998 a 30' radio mast stood alongside. This has now (6.4.2002) been removed and there is a shorter mast coming up through the FSM pipe. BPI pipe now has an additional U-shaped piece added to it. There has been some undermining of the concrete apron and subsequent soil erosion. A large length of co-ax cable protruded from the ventilation shaft and is coiled round it. There is some minor damage to the rear of the ventilation shaft.
