Location On a low mound one a high point surrounded on all four sides by housing, it is accessed along a narrow path alongside 7A Melrose Close.
Description LOCKED All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the green paint. The hatch is locked. Internally the following items remain: table, shelf, cupboard, two folding canvas chairs (one broken), WB1401 carrier receiver with WB1410 filter unit, BT junction boxes/wiring, BPI mount, many ROC magazines, post log, two local cluster maps, a cluster map of Orkneys and Shetlands, posters, papers, plastic bowl, waste bin, spade, rope, mirror, Jerry can, broom, rake, dustpan, small splint, cleaning materials, kettle, saucepan, plastic plates, candle holder and a fire blanket in its box. There is also a plastic sign that says ’34 Post Macduff’. There is a telegraph pole in one corner of the compound that served the post and other houses. It has 2 disused junction boxes at the top. The post was sold in 2003.
